Delegates arrive into Perth and make their way to the Esplanade Hotel in Fremantle. Light dinner at hotel.

Fremantle – Walpole
After breakfast at the hotel, travel south east to Williams to visit Charles Cowcher and Son's Willandra Simmental stud and enjoy morning tea sponsored by the Cowcher family. Late morning depart for the Williams Wool Shed for lunch. Afterwards, travel to the Mt Barker area for a quick stop at a local winery then travel to the town of Denmark to visit Kevin and Janice Hard's Naracoopa Simmental stud and enjoy dinner on the farm, sponsored by the Hard family. After dinner travel to Walpole.

Monday 13th

Walpole - Dunsborough
After breakfast leave the motel for the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk. The Valley of the Giants is an impressive grove of gigantic tingle trees up to 400 years old. Tingle trees are among the largest trees in the world and are only found in the forest surrounding the Valley of the Giants. The Tree Top Walk is a spectacular lightweight bridge that takes you through the forest canopy high above the forest floor. Mid morning, depart for Manjimup to visit the Introvigne family's Bonnydale Simmental stud and enjoy lunch, sponsored by the Introvigne family. Mid afternoon continue on to Tony and Loreen Kitchen's Bandeeka Simmental stud, for a herd inspection and dinner, sponsored by the Kitchen family.

Tuesday 14th

Dunsborough – Augusta – Dunsborough
A leisurely morning followed by a beach walk for those interested. Mid morning drive south to visit David and Audrey Weightman's Topweight Simmental stud. Afterwards travel to Augusta for lunch, sponsored by the Weightman family. Then depart for a tour through the beautiful Margaret River wine growing region, returning to Dunsborough for a free evening and dinner at the resort.

Wednesday 15th

Dunsborough – Perth – Alice Springs
Early breakfast at hotel then check-out for the drive to Perth Airport to connect with the flight to Alice Springs.
12.25pm Depart on Qantas flight QF 1938 to Alice Springs, arriving at 4.35pm
On arrival in Alice Springs, transfer to your hotel for the night. Alice Springs is in the heart of Australia - The Red Centre; an area with wide open spaces, vibrant colours and spectacular natural landscapes. This evening you can soak up the atmosphere of the outback and relax over a camp oven dinner under the stars

Thursday 16th

Alice Springs – Kings Canyon
After breakfast at the hotel depart for a visit to the air base of the Flying Doctor Service. The Royal Flying Doctor Service was founded by the Reverend John Flynn and is still in operation today. It was the first medical service of its kind in the world and combined radio communication, air transport and medical services, to overcome the tyranny of distance and isolation of the early families who settled in the Northern Territory. Afterwards visit the Alice Springs Desert Park which provides an excellent introduction and overview of the unique flora and fauna of outback Australia. Later depart for the drive to Kings Canyon and relax over a casual dinner at the resort.

Friday 17th

Kings Canyon –Uluru (Ayers Rock)
This morning after breakfast there's time for a walk, either along the creek beneath River Red Gums or around the rim of Kings Canyon where the red and gold colours of the canyon walls and the scenery in this rugged landscape, is quite spectacular. Optional departure prior to dawn for a walk to the top of Kings Canyon for a spectacular sunrise. Later depart for the drive to Uluru. Check into the hotel then depart for sunset drinks while watching the changing colours of the sun as it sets over Uluru (Ayers Rock). Uluru is one of the great wonders of the world; an ancient monolith with a circumference of almost 10 kilometres (approximately 6 miles). Tonight there's a special "Sounds of Silence Dinner" under the stars.

Uluru – Melbourne
An early morning start to catch the morning colours of sunrise over Uluru followed by an interpretive walk at the base of Uluru and a visit to the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Late morning transfer to Uluru (Ayers Rock) Airport for the flight to Melbourne.
1.00pm Depart on Qantas flight QF727 Ayers Rock – Sydney, arriving at 4.20
5.00pm Depart on Qantas flight QF453 Sydney – Melbourne, arriving 6.35pm
On arrival into Melbourne, transfer to the official Congress hotel in the city. This evening join other delegates for a Welcome Reception and light dinner.

Arrive Melbourne

Saturday 11th
|
Melbourne – Apollo Bay
The tour commences today and after breakfast at the hotel, depart for a city tour of Melbourne taking in the major sights of this elegant city which has its origins in the heady days of the goldrushes of the 1850s. Late morning travel south west of Melbourne through the bayside city of Geelong to the gently undulating hills of the Bellarine Peninsula. Stop for a herd inspection and lunch in Drysdale at the stud of Don Mathieson at Brenair Park Simmentals, before travelling along the Great Ocean Road to the coastal town of Apollo Bay. Dinner at nearby restaurant.

Apollo Bay – Mount Gambier
Following breakfast at the hotel next door, continue travelling along the Great Ocean Road to see the spectacular 12 Apostles then travel north east towards Camperdown to visit the world class facility of Total Livestock Genetics for a presentation and inspection, followed by lunch. This company works closely with ABS Australia on the national collection of semen and is both EU and non EU accredited. After lunch travel west to the property of Bill and Elaine Sleep, "Billanbri" in Woolsthorpe, then continue north west towards Mount Gambier for a bush barbecue dinner at Kurrajong Park. Mount Gambier is a thriving city set in a unique and ancient landscape of volcanic craters, lakes, limestone and mysterious underground waterways and is the home of the spectacular Blue Lake.

Monday 13th

Mount Gambier – Naracoorte
After breakfast depart hotel for a combined stud herd visit in the picturesque Mount Gambier area. The Allen family stud "Tugulawa" Simmentals, the Creek family stud, "Six Creeks" Simmentals and the Muller family stud, "Rellum Farms" Simmentals will all be on show. Afterwards, visit the famous Mt Gambier Blue Lake before travelling to the famous Coonawarra wine growing region for a wine tasting and lunch. Following lunch we travel to Millicent to visit the Baker family's "Woonallee" Simmental stud and enjoy an on-farm dinner before travelling to Naracoorte.

Naracoorte – Adelaide
Depart for a herd inspection and breakfast at Richard Hodge and Partners “Waterfront” Simmental stud. Travel on to Meningie and enjoy a herd inspection and lunch at Tim Cartledge and family’s “Lancaster” Simmental stud. In the afternoon continue on to visit the Nalpa Pastoral Co’s “Nalpa” Simmental stud, Strathalbyn and Dr Shirley Barker’s “Bokara” Simmental stud, Mount Barker. Continue on to the historic German settlement of Hahndorf for dinner. After dinner travel onto Adelaide, City of Churches.

Adelaide - Alice Springs
Early breakfast at hotel then check-out and transfer to Adelaide Airport to connect with the flight to Alice Springs.
09.45am Depart Adelaide on Qantas flight QF723 for Alice Springs, arriving at 11.55am.
On arrival in Alice Springs, transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to explore this outback town. Alice Springs is in the heart of Australia - The Red Centre; an area with wide open spaces, vibrant colours and spectacular natural landscapes.
