If you’ve ever wondered how cattle stations, cropping and horticultural enterprises in the Northern Territory operate, then this tour is for you. Both commencing and culminating in the tropical and colourful city of Darwin, the tour takes you on a journey through the north of the territory, providing a unique insight into a variety of agriculture in this area. Based predominantly around the Douglas Daly, Katherine and Victoria River regions, you’ll be exposed to many aspects of cattle management – ‘Territory style’, including breeding, feeding, backgrounding, yarding and live cattle exports, on both family-run and large company owned stations. It’s not all cattle though, there’s also the opportunity to visit some surprising agricultural investments. You’ll also visit some of the NT’s iconic and spectacular national parks, including Kakadu, Nitmiluk and Litchfield. If northern Australia, diverse agriculture and the wide-open spaces are your interest, then we think you will love this tour!
This tour operates away from the tourist areas, so accommodation, food, transport and some roads may not always be what you’d find in more conventional areas!
