Farmers Tour of Queensland – A Great Winter Escape 2024 Tour

Australia is a large country with huge variations in climate.  In winter, when the southern states are cold and grey, why not escape and travel north to explore Australia’s ‘Sunshine State’ where the weather is always warmer?  Starting in Brisbane, the tour travels to the fertile and productive Lockyer Valley and Darling Downs regions, then heads northwards, visiting large-scale cattle properties and a range of agricultural enterprises.  Along the way, discover the stories of historic towns in western Queensland and visit renowned natural attractions, including spectacular Carnarvon Gorge with its gorges and towering sandstone cliffs, hidden in the rugged ranges of Queensland’s central highlands. Further north, see the variety of horticultural enterprises operating on the Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland and lastly, relax in the tropical city of Cairns where you have the option to visit either the Great Barrier Reef or the Daintree Rainforest.  This is a great winter escape.
